Hope Church Kuching ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Hope Church Kuching website (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

Hope Church Kuching is referred to as Persatuan Penganut Kristian Pengharapan Kuching, our legal entity.

  • participate in other local church activities e.g. Groups;

  • contact us by means such as email, text, letter, telephone;

  • have face to face meetings with staff and volunteers;

  • access social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram;

  • register with hopechurchkuching.org and grant Hope Church Kuching permission to provide the local church with access to your personal data and give consent to be contacted by Hope Church Kuching.


  • While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data").

  • to answer an inquiry or request for further information or complaint about us, our services, activities and events;


  • to register you for events, conferences and provide the services requested;


  • to carry out analysis and market research and improve our website and communications, 
to assist the local church to provide services and products more valuable to those involved in Hope Church Kuching;

to improve our ability to assist the local church attendees and the wider community;

  • to assist Hope Church Kuching and associated Hope Churches with management and administrative purposes.

Sharing of Personal Data

In the course of its daily operations and obligations, Hope Church Kuching may share personal data with the following third parties in the following ways:

  • With representatives of Hope Church Kuching main church body, our governing administrative body (Hope International Ministries) and our NGO partners (Hope Place Kuching).


  • For statistics gathering, our website and other platforms will capture limited visitor data (such as IP addresses and origin geography) when these are visited

  • For reporting and compliance purposes to our government body or co-financing institutions, reporting will contain statistical measurements and assessments of our Hope Church Kuching seminars and conferences, events, training opportunities, though a vast majority of the data contained in such reports will be anonymised.

  • For promotional purposes we may publish testimonials and/or quotes from participants of our seminars and conferences, events, training opportunities in, for example, our publications and on our website and social media sites – we separately asks such participants for permission to do so
.

  • In limited cases, where arranging transportation, accommodation, catering or other services that require it, Hope Church Kuching may share your personal data to facilitate the needed services associated with attending our events

  • During obligated financial audits, your personal data may be processed by duly authorised auditors
Where necessary and required by law, governmental authorities, Hope Church Kuching will share personal data with investigators, police forces or other law enforcement officials in required situations.

  • If you are located outside Malaysia and choose to provide information to us, please note that we will transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Malaysia and will process the information there. Malaysia is the home country of our operating system.
